Hello, my name is Kathryn Vyvjala (pronounced Viv-e-ah-lah), and I opened Woman’s Cave about 12 years ago in Brenham, Texas. My shop is located at 208 E. Alamo St. in the heart of downtown Brenham.
About 20 years ago, I owned an organic produce and meat co-op before there were any organic options in the stores. At that time, I lived in Huntsville, Texas, and I still remember one of my customers would drive all the way from Brenham just so she could eat healthy.
Now I am local, right here on the historical downtown square, where we carry a fine line of home decor, jewelry, clothing, and my handmade bath products and embroidered dish towels.
For almost 35 years, I have been making my own bath products. I began making soaps, lotions and more because of all the harmful chemicals in products on the market.
The soaps I craft are made with 90% pure olive oil. This is wonderful for the face and entire body. My hand and body lotion has an avocado oil base, and I use no alcohol in them so they are very thick and rich. All of my bath products come in a variety of fragrances and are available year-round. I also make natural mosquito repellent and bath bombs.
